Maintenance Method And Pre Installation Inspection Of The Joint V-belt

A combined V-belt is a V-belt group consisting of several ordinary V-belts or narrow V-belts connected by connecting layers at the top, divided into two types: combined ordinary V-belts and combined narrow V-belts. There are several aspects that need everyone to pay attention to when using the joint V-belt. Let's take a look together.
1. For various models of V-belts, it is not advisable to apply rosin or viscous substances, and it is also important to prevent contamination of engine oil, butter, diesel, and gasoline, as this will corrode the V-belt and shorten its service life.
2. When the V-belt is not in use, it should be stored well in a place with low temperature, no direct sunlight, and no oil stains to avoid spoilage.
3. Regularly check the tension of the joint belt and adjust it in a timely manner if there are any problems. If the adjustment still does not meet the specified requirements, a new V-belt needs to be replaced.
4. If the replacement of the joint belt is on the same pulley, all V-belts should be replaced at the same time. Otherwise, due to differences in length between the old and new, the load distribution on the V-belt is uneven, resulting in vibration and unstable transmission of the V-belt, which reduces the working speed of the V-belt transmission.
5. When using a joint belt, the operating temperature of the V-belt should not exceed 60 ℃, and do not apply belt grease casually. If the surface of the V-belt emits light, it indicates that the V-belt has slipped. It is necessary to clean the dirt on the surface of the belt first, and then apply an appropriate amount of belt wax. When cleaning the V-belt, use warm water instead of cold and hot water.
